Matt Bray takes over as Managing Director
We are pleased to announce that Matt Bray has taken over as Managing Director. Matt has had a varied and interesting career to date, initially training as a Royal Navy Engineering Artificer (Airframes and Engines) before being commissioned into the Royal Marines. Matt left the Armed Forces in 2003 after nearly 20 years of operational service, gaining a Masters Degree in Defence and International Affairs from Kings College, London in the process.
After working as a consultant, Matt established a Risk and Crisis Management Consultancy (Halliday Finch Ltd.) which supported companies working mainly in Africa including; Virgin Nigeria, Exxon Mobil and the Mozambique Government, amongst others. He then took a post as Head of Security for the BAA Heathrow T5 project, progressing on to become Head of Business Continuity and Crisis Management for BAA. Prior to joining AES, Matt was Managing Director of RIG Systems, a training and consultancy business providing rope and confined space access and rescue training as well as water rescue training for both industry and the Emergency Services.
Matt said “This is an exciting time for AES. Now we are a wholly independent business once again, we are continually reviewing how we can improve our products and service. I really think that the enhancements at the Irlam, Manchester site, including new uniforms for the engineers and staff, new site security and a new website, sends out the message that AES is thriving once again and very much looking to the future.”
