Command and Control Vehicles
West Midlands Fire Service have ordered three Command Support Vehicles the details of which is covered by this specification.
The vehicle is designated as a Support Vehicle and will transit with a crew of up to 6 (including driver and passengers)
The Command Support Vehicles shall be capable of supporting six operating staff and one Operations commander for a period up to 12 hours whilst stationary without relief or re-supply.
The primary purpose of the Unit is to provide Command and Control facilities at a scene of an operation/incident.
The secondary purpose is to enable the vehicle to be used as a Community Fire Safety vehicle supporting Fire Safety Initiatives and/or Public Education needs and training.
